Rose smiled as she made her way up to the alter where Mako, and Arisa stood in shock. As she approached Valdair stepped in the way his face red "Clarisse! How dare you show your face here!" Rose wasted no words as she simply pulled out her revolver and shot him in the chest. He shook with the shot and dropped stone dead to the floor.
Everyone was silent so Rose took this time to speak "If you all stay where you are and don't do anything stupid he will be the only body today." The whole room got quieter if that was even possible Mako only just noticed the man in the uniform stand up his gun raise. He only made it to his feet before a shot rang out and he fell dead to the floor. Mako looked around for the shooter only to find yet another familiar face. Standing in the doorway was mister Silver with a rifle in hand. He smiled as his shot had clearly hit home he leveled his gun and gave the room a quick sweep. This gesture was done as more of a warning than anything else. With that warning Mako hoped that no one would be stupid enough to try and fight. Finally Rose made it to the alter as she did Mako heard a voice he didn't want to hear.
His father spoke out "Just what is the meaning of this!?" his voice came out much more authoritative than he felt that was obvious to all who could see him.
Rose turned and looked at him with a smirk playing about her lips "I am here to collect my daughter and my cabin boy. That and a few items that I was forced to leave behind in my flight from this place and the now dead abuser on the floor there." She said all of this flatly. It was at this that Mako's father became a bit more unnerved "You mean my son is a pirate?" Rose looked back at Mako her face neutral "Well are you a pirate?" She asked him flatly.
Mako bowed his head lightly in salute "Aye captain. I am ready to leave when you are."
She smiled widely to herself as she turned her attention back to his father "Well that is that then isn't it? Now then if you will excuse me." She pushed him to the side and addressed the crowd "To all of the ladies who are here with men who strike you, or hurt you on a daily basis I extend to you the choice of leaving them behind and coming with me on my ship as part of my pirate crew. If you join me you will be expected to work, and pull your own weight, but there won't be any daily beatings." Mako looked at the crowd and saw more than a few faces that were seriously considering the offer that was just made. Mako's attention was drawn to Silver who was no longer alone. The crow had appeared at his side. She gave a quick signal and Rose seemed to catch onto it. She cleared her throat and spoke out "Well I take my leave. Mako, Arisa come with me. We are leaving." with that said she began to walk towards Silver. Of course Mako and Arisa were right at her heels however they were not alone at least a third of the women who were in attendance were following them out. Mako didn't say a word neither did Arisa. The whole party left the estate and arrived at a trio of waiting wagons. Everyone was quick to load up and get away. The three wagons all split up on their way to the air dock where the Black Rose was anchored. Mako and Arisa stayed silent the whole time. They were in the same wagon as Silver, the Crow, and Rose. After only a few minutes they arrived at the air dock. They were quick to get into the elevator and up to the dock where they were anchored at. When they were loaded Rose began to bark orders "Lower the wings, stoke the fires, and prepare to cast off! Bosun prepare to receive new crew!" She turned her attention to Mako and Arisa "You two in my cabin now. We have things to discuss."
Mako nodded his head lightly he looked at Arisa "Follow me. I know where it is." he started to walk up past the rest of the crew. Arisa was right behind him the pair made their way up behind the wheel house and into Roses' cabin.
Once inside they sat down on the other side of Roses' desk. They didn't have long to wait it was only a matter of minutes until they felt the ship begin to move. As soon as that happened Rose entered the room closing the double doors behind her. She walked across the room and sat down in her chair "So. Tell me Mako was everything you told me a lie? Were you just using us to get me caught?"
Mako's eyes widened in disbelief "No! I would never!" his voice came out cracked and hoarse showing his horror and shock "I didn't! When i went down and got off the elevator my father was waiting for me, and he Kidnapped me!"
Rose scoffed loudly as she looked him over "Right, and the marriage? That was mighty convenient for you."
Mako looked to fall farther into disbelief by how paranoid Rose was acting "No! The marriage is what i was running away from! That is why you found me a drift out on the ocean!"
Rose frowned as she turned her attention to Arisa "Well? Is any of this true?"
Arisa looked from her mother to Mako then back and in her tiny mouse voice she squeaked "I'm not sure...all I know is about what went on while he was with me..."
Rose nodded her head once "Bosun take this maggot to the brig!" The beast appeared behind Mako and grabbed him by his shoulders surprising the boy a tribute to how quiet she could be when she wanted "Aye, aye Cap'." She hauled him off of his feet, and dragged him out of the room.
Mako thrashed uselessly "Captain please! I'm telling you the truth! Please captain!" the doors closed as they left and he watched them get smaller as he was pulled away.
When they appeared on the deck Silver saw what was happening and he stormed up to the beast "What be da meanin' of dis!?" his voice was loud and full of bass, but this didn't affect the beast at all "The cap says to take him to the brig. He's going there cook!"
Mako looked at Silver in desperation "Silver the captain is convinced that I set her up! Please you know I would never do that talk to her please!"
Silver looked down at Mako "I'm sorry lad. I will try, but don't hold yer breath." the bosun laughed and dragged Mako below deck. However, down a different staircase then the one they used to enter and exit the galley. The first flight of stairs led to the crews' room. There were hammocks stretching the length of the hold they were stacked three high. It was a shock to Mako to see that at least half of the hammocks were filled with sleeping crew members. However, he wasn't granted a chance to inquire or even look anymore as he was dragged on down another flight of stairs. This time they passed through the cargo hold to what had to be the gully of the ship, in it were several cages with large locks. It was here that the brig rested.
The beast threw him into a cage locking it behind him "Well look at the bright side. Oh wait there isn't one!" she laughed loud and deep as she turned and trudged her way back up to the deck.
Mako sat down on his bench looked down at the very dirty floor shaking his head "What is going on? How could she do this to me?" with this question asked it was followed up by a soft whisper of a laugh. This caused him to jump and search the darkness.
