It was a very different class

Took a stubborn person just to pass

Sometimes felt like I just wanted to quit

Kept moving and fighting through it

Took it in when Colonel yelled and yelled

Stood at attention and clenched my hands

Said a prayer of thanks when we heard the bell

Why did I choose this over band?

Stuck it out and complained with my friends

Felt the same and stood by their side

Cadets were a family through thick and thin

Insult from others we didn't let slide

Sergeant stood by and watched us all grow

Stayed in long enough for adults to show

No longer Freshmen or in lockers were stowed

That class prepared us for life and the road
