Frozen Rose
Snow litters the ground
Alone
And unappreciated
The frost falls upon
A lonely rose
Sitting in a field
Beautiful
And unnoticed
The tiny ice crystals
Cling to the delicate petals
The way love
Clings to the heart
I see it there
And I think of you
I think of your laugh
Of your smile
You light up my world
My life
Without you I'm incomplete
Like a rose
Hidden in winter
That never blooms
Then the snow
And then the frost
Finally melted away
Revealing sunshine
As warm as you
The clouds went away
*~*
*~*
And the rose began to bloom
