This is a poem I wrote about how I wish I was like my crush's crush just so he could like me. But then I realized an important lesson at the end.

Everyday,
my feelings get deeper
But yet we're nothing more than friends
You don't know how much I want to be more
But the feeling isn't mutual
You see me as a buddy
You see me as a friend
Not a lover
Or a hugger
Just nothing more
Everyday,
I'm hiding my feelings more and more
In the hopes you don't find out soon
But what if it's just too late?
You like this girl,
you like that girl
You can never make up your mind
It gets me wondering
Why can't I be like them?
Skinny,
pretty,
popular,
PERFECT
The girl every guy wants to go out with
And here I am writing a poem about something I know I can never be
Because all I want
Is you to like me
For just me.
