I was worried about my grades

Mom was worried for my sisters

As you were going to take your bath

Did you know it was going to be your last?

When you went to sleep that day

Did you dream about us?
And did you like your last meal?

When you never came home from work

When you couldn't join us for dinner

When you never got to continue doing what you love

It all went away in a blink of an eye

I always remember what I woke up to

The day of October 21st, 2009

So much has happened since that day

I moved up to my old room

You would've been right next door

Some of my friends came and went

That you'd be happy to hear

But you'll never get to see me grow up

Because of that one night back in October

Who knew it would be your last
