I got bored and I'm no good at patience. So here's the next chapter.

Derek POV (6 months earlier)

Nobody knows me like they do. They're the ones who are keeping me alive. For nights they gave me a thick blanket and a lumpy pillow; and if I come to them in the morning, I get their scraps from the day before. I find my own water and I can defend myself. In return I do jobs for them as I'm not normal like everybody else. I have the ability to take a person's heart and essence with a simple kiss, and I can paralyse people who dare to look into my eyes. Not that many people do, they see me on streets or lurking in alleyways and they hurry on. I'm technically homeless and not worth a penny in their eyes, but those who dare look into my eyes, they are the brave ones. Although they don't know it, I could stop them without even moving a muscle. My blonde but grimy dreadlocks used to shimmer and cause girls to swoon at my feet but that's the past, and this is now. My newest target was an interesting one. Apparently they were like him as they weren't normal but this person was a lot younger and would be harder to get. According to the files he'd been made to read and the information he had been made to digest, she had people all around her protecting her. One person had been terminated but the other had survived. A new boy had recently entered the scene which was annoying; it could only mean more people to look out for. The targets name had been unveiled today, before he left. The first thing he had thought was that he knew this person, the second was that this was payback. This person had made his life hell. The reason he was on the streets. She was the one he'd always wanted too back on and finally he could, in the name of life. Her name was Rachel Freeland…
