Author's Notes:

I cannot do much editing here, because of all the restrictions, so if you want to read the novel as it should be (with right colors and explanations of weird words that you've never saw before) you should check my website - link on my profile.

And chapters here will always be behind in schedule, so if you want the newest chapters, check my website. But fyi (for you information) newest chapters are updated as soon as I finish writing them, so often they're full of errors (which I correct later after re-reading them).

End of Author's Notes.

Prologue

How would you feel if one day your world completely changed?

What would you do if one day you'd have to restart your life and learn everything anew?

You wonder why I'm asking?

I'm asking, because it happened to me. One day my whole world changed. Nothing prepared me for this and no one warned me ahead of time. It just happened. A set of events came together and the universe send me away from my normal life. I wasn't the only one. This one thought was what kept me sane for a long time, until I grew to love this new world.

I don't regret my actions on that fateful day. Rather, I'm worried what my life would be if I didn't skip classes, because if I hadn't skip classes, then...

I wouldn't meet him.

I wouldn't travel to Halfir.

I wouldn't understand the real freedom.

I wouldn't learn to fight in order to protect.

I wouldn't experience being so close to death.

I wouldn't fall in love and see him die.

I wouldn't... truly live.

And after all those years I have no regrets. I know that I lived. I know that I've experienced my life to the fullest. I've met many people. I made many friends - true friends, whom I trust. I went through many hard times, but I also spend many happy times.

So, let me share with you our unforgettable memories.

Because, what started as unbelievable became impossible.

This is a tale of our lives filled with unimaginable landscapes, unpredictable people, unobtainable objects, supernatural beings and more than anything else, strangeness of gigantic scale.

It's a compilation of self-told stories, based on the diaries and things I've heard from my friends. I tried my best, because I believe they would tell their life stories themselves if they could.

Dear reader, enjoy the tale of those who lived through the most important age in the history of Earth.

And don't avoid reading it just because I'm almost 90 years old. Old people have amazing stories to tell - stories worth listening.

x

In memory of my dear friends, who unfortunately passed away before me.
