Her eyes are open but she never sees
She's standing tall but she's on her knees
Time flies by but she stands still
Feels like living but without the will
Wander down the street, she's dancing in the rain
Trying to forget him, trying to wash away the pain
Crying in a thunderstorm so nobody can hear
If she wishes on another star, maybe she can disappear
Never felt so alone in a place so strange
Tried to let him go but her hearts in a cage
It feels like she's bursting, like she's falling apart
She told him to keep it when he gave back her heart
She still won't believe him when he says that it's dead
Because all of her happiness still lives in her head
She remembers the promises made in days gone by
She wishes she could go back to never wondering why
