"I can't believe i made it!" I yelled loudly causing several other students to turn their heads as my best friend Kris and I walked around campus. Right now Kris was giving me a tour of the Academy. It was hard to believe I was holding my schedule and that i could finally be with Kris again, one year apart might not seem like much but for best friends like Kris and I one year felt like a century.

Ace Academy was a school for the performing arts. From singing to acting to directing the Academy had it all. The also had Dance which was what i was enrolled in. Give me a song that will play forever and i would dance to it well into my old age. Dance was my life, it was my way of expressing myself and it was my comfort. There was nothing that could come between me and dance.

"Mina hurry! I still have to show you where the cafeteria is and if you want any of the morning bean bun's you gotta hurry1 I'm not kidding those things will sell out within seconds!" Kris grabbed my sleeve and we ran towards the cafeteria. I smiled and looked ahead. Well nothing besides Kris. As soon as we entered the cafeteria there was a crowd that formed around cashier, i felt sorry for the poor lady who kept getting money thrown at her from all sides. Kris wasn't kidding, and i thought Academy students were supposed to be dignified.

"I guess i'll have to get a bean bun another time." I sighed my stomach growling, the smell of the bun was overwhelming. I felt something warm touch my lips and i saw Kris was holding a bean bun to them. I gripped the bun before taking a huge bite out of it earning a laugh and a pat on the head from Kris. I rolled my eyes and continued to eat. Kris simply watched me eat and took sips from his canned juice.

"Yah! Is watch me eat that interesting? You wanna go and get your camera so you can use it for your next film assignment?" I said while licking my fingers. Kris held back a laugh and i pouted before sticking my tongue at him. "You still have to show me the dance studio's and who all your friends are." I said tugging Kris towards the exsit. As we headed towards the door a group of boys entered the room, everyone seemed to bow and give their respects. I took notice of their uniform; they didn't have the student council bands on their arms so i didn't deem them important. Kris didn't seem to make a move to bow or anything so i slipped past them all the while tugging on Kris's sleeve and whinned for him to hurry. A new dance routine had popped into my head and i needed to work it out. It would be a dance routine for Kris's mom's birthday party next week.

"You should have at least bowed to those guys. They were important." Kris said softly as he now was tugging me towards my wanted destination. I gave him a puzzled look.

"You didn't bow. Why should I?" Kris sighed before speaking. There was clearly something going on here that i didn't know about. If those boys had bullied Kris they would be in for a world of hurt.

"Every school has that one group of guys who think they own the place. Those guys you saw were our 'rulers' the call themselves Paradise since they calm to have talents that will bring you to cloud nine. As to why i don't need to bow... I'm kinda the social outcast here. They practically ignore me anyways." He paused for a moment and took in my shocked expression. "What? I'm a social outcast why is that so hard to believe?"

"Because you're too awesome for that! I thought that by now you would be Mr. popular and that you would have so many friends that the only way i could spend anytime with you would be today." Kris was a really good guy, I was surprised that no one had realized that, after all his films were amazing and his voice was just as good even though he didn't enroll in the vocal course.

" Am I really that awesome?" I rolled my eyes before punching him lightly in the shoulder.

"Yah! Did you not here anything i just said? Of course i think you're awesome! You are Kris, the guy who single handily saved me from bullies when we were twelve , the guy who made sure i could get to my dance audition even in a snowstorm. You are the only person at our old school who could put up with my constant antics and come out without anything broken and you make a killer cheesecake that i enjoy eating. If that doesn't spell awesome then I don't know what does." Kris seemed satisfied with that answer and we continued towards the dance studio.

"I don't want you to end up not having friends, with such a pretty face like yours you should have tons of friends. So next time bow to those guys if ya see them okay?"

"We'll see." Kris sighed at my answer and pushed me towards the dance studio.

"We're here, now go and have fun, I gotta hand an assignment in. No one should be in there since all the dancers are in the third and fourth years at the school but if someone comes make sure to tell them you're a second year transfer alright?" I nodded my head and Kris smiled before leaving. I pushed opened the doors and headed towards the stereo, as i filled through the CD's i saw several Hip hop and Pop options that would work with what i had in mind. I put the two CD's in and made sure to set the player on repeat, that way I would have at least 2 hours of practice time.

The music blasted through the room and instantly i felt more energized. As i counted down i replayed the movements in my head and kept on beat. It was if my body moved on its own as a danced. A spin here and a pop and lock motion there and soon the 2 hours flew by.

"Mina, it's time to go." Kris said as he handed me a water bottle and a towel. My stomach growled and i smiled before taking the water and drinking some. I hung the towel over my shoulders before we left the room. it was a good thing i had chosen to wear sweats and a fitted dark t-shirt. It would have been gross to sweat as much as i was in jeans.

"Let's go to the cafeteria and get you some lunch, I think the people all the way in Canada can here your stomach growling."

"Yah! There's no way that could happen!" Kris laughed before he took my hand and we headed towards the cafeteria. I could smell the noodles from here. Noodles get ready to be eaten!
