The clock is ticking and time goes on,
The hero is stumbling blindly like a fawn,
Grasping at the hope of a victory,
Why she even bothered seems a mystery
All they know and all they have seen,
is a mere fraction of all that has been
Swords clash together and blood paints the ground
We are never truly safe and sound
They need to fight and the tears subside
When the time comes they must decide
This war it seems can never end
Will these wounds never mend?
I saw the brave the valiant and vain
I saw the suffering, the horror, the pain
And now I must meet death's embrace
Mud and tears cover my face
I weep to see the smoke covered sun
Although my battle has not been won
The war goes on but the deed is done
