A routine visit to my email account revealed an interesting notification from a site that I regularly visited named GaiaOnline. According to Gaia, someone had quoted me on the forums not too long ago. Usually, I was too lazy to go check out my notifications but it was Friday night and I had nothing else better to do. Why not see what this fellow Gaian had up his or her sleeve?

Clicking the link, I waited for the respective page to come up. After a bit of lag, the page finished loading and automatically skipped down to the post. I began to read...

Eyebrows raising in surprise, a small smile formed on my lips. Gathering my thoughts, I clicked the Quote button and typed my reply.

After my post was submitted, I took the time to check out Phoenix_1215's profile. I guessed from the avatar that this person was male, but I wasn't too sure. The only thing that looked to be noteworthy on his page was his About Me.

Hi my name is Phoenix. I'm a boy and your average, friendly Gaian. Not very good at these About Me things, so I'll just say that if you wanna get to know the important stuff, send me a comment or a PM. I'm on here pretty much all the time and always willing to talk about anything to anyone.

Returning to the Main Page, a few thoughts began to run through my head, one of them being 'Why is he taking an interest in me, out of all people?' I tried to figure out the answer, but all of my guesses led me into more confusion.

My thoughts were interrupted when I noticed the '1 New Notification' at the top of the screen. Man, did he reply back already? He's fast. But might as well check it out now while I have the chance.

Accepting the ensuing friend request, it wasn't long before I saw a comment appear on my profile page, a simple greeting from him... I went with a simple 'Hello' in answer and within minutes, another comment was left and a conversation was started...

Him: How are you doing today/tonight?

Me: It's tonight here right now, and I'm doing alright. Yourself?

Him: That's a secret. ;)

Me: Ahh. Well may I ask what you are up to?

Him: Talking to you. ;P

Me: Smart ass.

Him: That's my middle name! Speaking of which, what's your name?

Me: That's a secret.

Him: Haha I see what game you're playing. Fair enough! Well Mr. No Name, I have to log off for the night and go do some stuff. But it was nice chatting with you ;D

Me: Nice chatting with you too, ttyl.

I couldn't believe that I had spent the last thirty minutes talking to this guy about absolutely nothing. But even more unbelievable was the fact that I kinda enjoyed it...
