A short poem I wrote about the feelings you get when you've lied to yourself for too long in order to make it work with someone. I hope this style works... R&R, people!

Feelings left buried
Day after day, I learn something new,
Things I never wanted to admit about you
Things kept in the dark, buried and forgotten
Until I finally realized that
I'm afraid,
Angry
Disappointed,
And I cannot think of you without feeling ill
Week after week, there are ups and downs
Feelings that I'd ignored
Thoughts and ideas, words and reflections left unexpressed
Thoughts concerning you, ideas concerning us, and reflections on everything
I finally realized that
I'm afraid,
Angry,
Disappointed,
And I cannot think of you without feeling ill
