My name is Daniel Hale. I always thought of myself as a normal teenage boy. I liked girls, sports(though I can't play because of my heart condition), and I hate math(who doesn't in my school?). And then, he came along and shattered most of what I thought about myself(aside from the sports and math thing, those will never change). Why did you have to come into my life James? T(slash

Chapter Six: Admitting To Others

I heard someone calling me and I turned to see James. "Daniel... Daniel..."the voice called. I turned and saw James beside me, really close to me, his face not an inch from mine. I blushed slightly.

"Yeah?"I asked.

"How come you're asking so many questions about how I realized my sexuality?"he asked. I swore softly, realizing I had zoned out, that the entire conversation about me being attracted to him was a daydream. My mind whirred for an answer to his question.

"I was just wondering if your way of finding out was different from my sister's."I blurted out. James let it sink and nodded slowly, almost as if he was sad about that answer.

"I see... So which sister is it?"he asked. I smiled softly.

"Jaiden. She's a pan-sexual... She falls for the personalities of people instead of their looks or gender..."I answered him. James nodded.

"I think I'd like to meet Jaiden. She seems like fun."James told me. I smiled.

"Oh yeah. Jaiden's just a big ball of fun."I sarcastically told him. He chuckled and playfully hit me, so I hit him back, just as playfully. Before I knew it, we had started play wrestling, messing around. By the time we stopped for a break, I was on top of him, holding his hands back, panting. He was panting too, catching his breath. He smirked.

"So I take it you like to top?"he asked, smirking. I felt myself blush and got off of him, sitting down on the bleachers. His smirk left and was replaced with concern as he sat up and went to sit down beside me. "Hey... You okay? Your heart's alright isn't it? I couldn't sleep if it was going off... Or... Did I say something out of line? Because if so I am very sorry about that too..."James started apologizing. I smiled softly and turned to face him.

"I'm fine. Really... And what you said... It caught me off guard... That's all..."I assured him. James bit his lip. Gosh it was so cute...

"Are you sure? I admit I am a big perv sometimes... But I'm not sure how some people take it..."he continued to apologize. I carefully hit him.

"Stop apologizing. Sign of weakness. Besides, Elliot, my best friend, he's a big perv too... And I can be a perv... Sometimes..."I admitted. James smiled.

"No apologizing, sign of weakness? That's a rule from FBI. I love that show! My favorite character is Tommy DiNardo. Although... I also like Lisa and Agent Tibbs."James responded. I smiled.

"Really? You like that show too? My whole family is absolutely obsessed with it and so are my friends and their families. My favorite is Agent Tibbs too. And Amy the forensics chick. Gosh she's adorable!"I told him. James grinned.

"My family and I love that show too. In fact, if it weren't for the age difference and that fact that he's a fictional character, I would so go to California just so I could hit on McGregor or DiNardo..."James admitted. I chuckled.

"That doesn't surprise me at all..."I answered. James chuckled.

"So... I have a cell phone... And I know most people have one... But do you?"he asked. I nodded.

"Yeah. Why? Want my number?"I asked. James smiled sheepishly.

"Maaaybe... It would be nice if I could text and talk to my new friends... You know?"he told me.

"Sure... Here lemme right it down..."I got up and walked over to my binder, getting out a sheet of paper and a pencil to write down my phone number. I wrote it down and handed the paper to James. "There ya go."I told him, smiling. James took, his smile getting bigger.

"Thank you Daniel."he answered, putting my number in his pocket. I grinned.

"Just lemme know it's you when you text me, otherwise I'll freak out on you."I admitted. James chuckled.

"Can't have that now can I?"he asked. The closeness there that was there earlier had returned, his face again not an inch from mine. Abruptly, the others burst in, coming over to us. We all began chatting until the bell rang. I walked over to James.

"By the way, there's another reason I wanted to know how you knew you were gay... I'm figuring out my own sexuality, so I had to find inspiration on how to know..."I whispered to him before walking out to my bus, trying to be quick so he wouldn't ask the question like he did in my daydream.

I got on the bus and sat down beside Aly, trying to keep from interrupting her conversation with Olivia. That's when they turned to me. Olivia smirked. "So... Are you and James together?"she asked. I blushed slightly.

"No...Why would you ask?"I asked her, blushing deeply. Aly chuckled, a smirk coming over her features too.

"Because you two are getting awfully close to one another..."Aly answered. I sighed.

"We aren't together... But... I do like him... I'll admit to that..."I admitted. Aly and Olivia both burst out in "awes". I blushed deeper.

"You two will be so cute together... You should so go for it..."Aly gushed. I shook my head.

"No... I'm not sure... Entirely if I like him that way or not... Besides... I'm still getting over... Penelope..."I told them.

"Okay... We'll give you a month to decide before we ask him out for you."Olivia retorted to me. I sighed.

"Fine... Just... Hush right now..."I told them.
