Dimming the lights

Not prepared for a fight

In the shadows

He sits and waits

For however long, it might take

Behind the door

Flittering about the floor

Is her

She puts on her face

Not knowing what awaits

In the shadows he stays

Just not too far away

From the one he must

Take away

He enters

As she turns around

She can't make a sound

He took her breath away

He couldn't

Stay away

In her mind

Prisoner she is held

Without a sign of help

He sits and waits

Watches

Stares

In fear she'll scream in fear

If he comes near

Her question is why?

His only reply

Open your eyes

Turn on the lights

And all will become clear
