Letter Three
Today I have opened my mind. I visited a family friend. He works at a news press, a very old job. But he doesn't mind. He says it's a very comfortable job, and he likes it. Today we sat and though. We thought of many things. My thoughts were very serious while he brought up other things that were not so serious, to lighten the mood. We both know I need those, or it is possible that I might commit suicide. One of the things that he brought up was about our past. What was it like, before the monarchs came to power? Some say there were much better things in the world. Things like floating carriages that oculd fly like a bird with many people inside. Ridiculous!
But what, I wonder, if that was true? What if people did once soar in the air like birds? I wonder today what our past holds.
