Epilogue

I stood next to Gabe on the staircase leading into the castle. I wore my wedding dress. My hair was up in a sophisticated updo with gems in my hair. My tiara held my veil in place. Gabe was incredibly handsome in his tux. Our families and friends gathered in chairs behind us, listening to my father.

"Do you, Gabriel Faolán Roukan, take this woman to be your wife?" my father asked.

"I do," Gabe replied.

"And do you, Gwendolen Tsukiko, take this man to be your husband?" my father asked of me.

"I do," I replied.

"By the power in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride," my father concluded. Gabe and I turned to each other, leaning in. We shared a tender kiss then turned back toward my father.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to announce, Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel Roukan!" my father announced. We turned toward our guests. The music played and we rushed down the aisle. We rushed to the beginning of the rest of our lives.
