I was once a flower
One day I blew Away
He was once a bird
He lived in a nest of hay
And as he took to the sky
He saw me passing by
So he caught me in his beak
And took me to his weeping peak
For days I laid in his nest
Never swaying, never blowing
For he thought it was for the best.
Stormy sky was my heart
But from him, I could never part.
Disappear, would he always,
Reappear, never always.
Once she was a bird, who came to our nest,
And yet again, took his heart in her breast.
With their beaks singing they flew away,
While I withered to ashes and blew away.
