Why do we need Love?

For every woman out there. There's a man for her. But for every man in the world is there a woman for him? I'm not sure nor do I care. All I know is I want love but I do not know why. So the question comes up why do we need love? Is it built in to us from birth or do we discover it over time. Maybe it's when we see them for the first time. Time is limited for us humans so we spend it with war, racism, and love but alas we will never know the answer to our little question "Why do we need love!"
