I'm not a fool

But I want to be

Foolish tonight.

I want to be wrong

I'm tired of doing

What's right.

You start out smooth

But always end with

A bite.

I won't make you leave

When I feel this empty.

Your words are whiskey

And I drink them down

I close my eyes

I let the warmth spread all around

I embrace the fire in my chest

As my thoughts are put to rest,

Rather I should or not,

I take another shot

I feel your warmth at the core of me

You become my whiskey.

I don't drink every day

But you're becoming a feeling

I wish would stay,

I throw my ambitions to the wind

I want to get drunk of you again.

I taste the honey seducing me

When I taste your skin,

Then comes the fire

Igniting deep within

It's a fire

And desire

I want to win.

Your words are whiskey

And I drink them down

I close my eyes

I let the warmth spread all around

I embrace the fire in my chest

As my thoughts are put to rest,

Rather I should or not,

I take another shot

I feel your warmth at the core of me

You become my whiskey.

My head tilts back

I'm under attack

From everything I know

And everything I know I can't take back

It's just so easy to slip away

Take another drink

And hide here always

My eyes close slowly

As the last drop trickles down,

In the morning I hope the effects of you

Won't be lingering around.
