That fire and the pull…
I am oddly fascinated by it,
drawn in like a moth,
unable to resist.
It's always there,
tugging at me,
pulling me farther in.

Sparks and heaven,
it is what it feels like,
bliss and pain at once together.
It consumes then it relieves,
changing and healing as it goes.

Flame,
the inferno that you are,
it burns and yet soothes.
You erupt like a volcano,
but warm like a gentle ember
and protect like the torch.

Raging brightly but softly glowing,
your spirit touches everything.
Blazing so full of energy,
the life of flickering death,
yet here you stand.

That fire and the pull…
I am fascinated by it,
taken in and left with few other thoughts,
but with the knowledge that I am unworthy
of that fire I love so.
