It never really does leave. Our pain is a fire forgotten, yet to be rekindled.

Fire

Lick your lips you hungry beast,

I'll throw you some good meat,

Eat our families, our lives our homes

No one yet to know,

A burning, a searing pain,

It all washes down the drain.

Keep our souls,

Burn our eyes,

Your fire is our pain

A strangely fascinating thing,

We watch,

Take my scotch

A pouring mess,

A bad guess,

At your face, in your way,

A burning, searing pain,

Doesn't go away

Like heaven of ice,

It doesn't feel too nice,

The cold so hot,

So distraught

A destroying mess,

Weakened,

Less.
