APART
I'm not your minion or your doll.
I'm not another slave that won't let you fall.
I don't dream about your name incased in lights,
I want you to work to take your first flight.
No, I don't live everyday in fear,
While you storm around with a cuff on your ear.
Your blindness to me makes me amused.
When will you realize I cannot be used?
To hate you, though, I'd be hating myself,
For we are both books off the same shelf.
Two of a kind yet so far apart,
But never in years would I want your cold heart.
