Horror Story- Chapter 1

1951

"Jane dear would you come here please"

Jane put down the book she was reading and started walking towards the room her mother had shouted for her from.

"Coming Mother"

When Jane reached the room her mother was in, she opened the door and saw stood next to her mother another women and a boy.

"Jane this is Ms Beau and her son Arthur"

Jane gave a small smile and a nod

"How do you do"

"Very well thank you Jane. Arthur say hello to Jane"

Arthur stepped forward a little but looked at the floor

"Hello Jane…."

Jane's Mother clapped her hands together and started to walk to the door. When she reached the door she toped and turned on her heels to look at her guests and Jane.

"It's nearly time for dinner everyone. Jane will you show Arthur around the house whilst Ms Beau and I talk"

She didn't wait for Jane to respond; instead she pushed both Jane and Arthur out of the door, slammed it shut and locked it behind her.

"Well follow me Arthur I'll show you around upstairs first"

Jane took Arthur's hand and pulled him towards the Stairs.

When they reached the top of the staircase Jane stopped suddenly

"What's the matter Jane?"

"Can't you see her?"

"See who? Shall I get your mother?"

"No, it's ok let's keep going come on"

As Jane Walked past the woman that only she could see she felt a cold wind down her back making her shiver. Arthur put a hand on her back to steady her from falling over.

That was the first day Jane saw the ghost of Lady Elizabeth Monroe.
