Thousand Lands
We've walked a thousand lands
We've seen a thousand sins
We've run to you a thousand times
And we'll run to you a thousand more
The dirt has captured the blood
The air has carried the scent
Bodies scattered across the path
Leaders rise in victory
Nations crumble in defeat
Our ears ring with the sound of the dead
Our hearts cry for those left behind
We've walked a thousand lands
We've seen a thousand sins
We've run to you a thousand times
And we'll run to you a thousand more
What was once done by sword
Is now carried out by gun
No matter how the deed is done
The sin still remains the same
A parent's child becomes someone different
Children are left without a home
Families are left broken
We've walked a thousand lands
We've seen a thousand sins
We've run to you a thousand times
And we'll run to you a thousand more
Cities disappear behind a cloud
People vanish in an instant
Nations are gone from histories sight
It all repeats the same sad song
A story as old as time itself
A plague on this world
It's not going to fix itself
We've walked a thousand lands
We've seen a thousand sins
We've run to you a thousand times
And we'll run to you a thousand more
We've walked a thousand battlefields
We've seen a thousand wars
We've run to war a thousand times
And we'll run to war a thousand more
