Opening her eyes Geneva looked at the ceiling, today William, her William, the man she loves with all her heart is getting married.
Anger burned through her, getting up she was moved with emotions that weren't new to her.
Sashaying to her closet she looked over her drab outfits. putting her hand into the way back corner, Geneva pulled out a box. smiling mischievously knowing that this box contained the dress for her.
Looking at her dress she she felt like a desirable woman finally. twirling in the long dress she was glad for the high cut. she'd need it when the dancing started.
giggling like a girl she sat down at her mirror, and applied the perfect amount of makeup to make her features standout. She wanted guys to look at her and dread that she wasn't theirs.
Standing up Geneva looked at her self in the mirror and picked up Williams picture."Ohhhhh William," she gushed kissing him, "wait till you see me in this, i know how much you love me already, but wait, wait."
One look at the clock sent her jumping she was going to be late. She needed exactly 20 minutes to save William from his spell. Putting on her pumps and grabbing her purse, Geneva took one more looked at herself and thought,
"Gen, you are the most beautiful women on Earth, how can he not come back to you." smiling a seducing purr, she walked towards the door just as it opened.
Reveling her mother in her best church gown, from the startled expression on Carries face, Geneva guessed her mother didn't approve of the dress.
Yet it didn't matter she couldn't stand her mother, after she jump on a emotional roller coaster and listened to Sues calling to be saved.
Geneva had laughed at her mother when she had knelt in tears. now the tears on her mothers face where starting to annoy her.
She liked her mother before she became a Christian, but now their was noway she could get through to her. she didn't need anybody. Not some God that wasn't there, nobody but William.
Carries mouth dropped at her daughters outfit, never had she seen someone where such a dress, it looked like her daughter was going out to the bar or a dance, not a Christian wedding. Standing in the doorway, hands on her hip's she stood square with her daughter.
"Geneva, you're not going to the wedding looking like some- some- pros-titute."
Spitting it out to her daughters face hurt her heart but it was true.
"Change right now or you're not going anywhere."
Geneva stopped in front of her mother, eyes burning a hole, "mother, ill not have you telling me what I can or can't wear. Step aside."
Carrie looked her daughter in the eyes and shook her head, there was no way she could help her.
That was exactly how she had acted when her sister had been getting married to the man she had supposedly loved.
Geneva didn't love William she just wanted to hurt her cousin, Carrie knew it now.
Closing the door in Geneva's angry face, she locked it and left; Hearing her swear at her through the door.
Walking to the kitchen, Carrie sat down at the table and cried.
She prayed for strength to cope with her stubborn, unbeliever, Geneva needed help and she needed it quick.
Geneva looked at the door, unbelieving her mother had just down that, fuming she walked to the window glad she'd gotten a ground room.
Climbing out, she ran from the madness that was in that house straight to the wedding that was taking place.
She had a good plan how to crash the wedding and take William and run. With two tickets to who knows were, just a place they could relax from the witch trying to steal her man.
Catching a taxi, she waited impatiently, just as they were going to make the last turn,
A blur of the car in front, and a deafening sound of screeching tires collided into Geneva as she hit her head against the front seat.
Blackness surrounding her she felt a hot liquid ruining her dress, groaning she passed out.
Minutes later she woke up her head pounding, as people swarmed around the crash.
Looking over at the driver, she felt her stomach heave.
He wasn't moving nor breathing. looking down slowly she saw the remains of her ruined dress, anger made her want to hurt the driver for ruing a 100 doller dress.
Turning back to the driver with a quick lift of the head, she noticed him moaned in pain, as his eyes rolled in their sockets. Geneva never witnessed a person die before, but it didn't weaken her.
wanting to be free from the smell of blood, gasoline, mixing together with sweat and human waste, she grabbed for the handle.
Getting dizzy by the second, blackness swiveling around.
The moaning driver stuck to her hard, as she felt a sickening pain ripple down her back.
She could barley make her feet move even though they looked fine to her.
Pulling one foot down after the other, she felt her ankle give in.
Shock started to make her brain go fuzzy, picking up her eyes she saw a blur of people milling around.
Groaning with the fierce pain embracing her body, she got up.
Hearing a cheering crowd through the mistds of the voices of unfamilar people, a man caught her as Geneva's eyes connected with the scene of William and sue standing at the doors of the church.
While everyone was congratulating them, they were smiling and laughing.
Sobs escaped her throat, she didn't make it.
She was to late. The witch had bewitched her man.
Then the pain seeping into her mind, wasn't the only thing she felt.
Grabbing the person holding her with all the strength she had left.
Hearing him gasp, she felt a blood curdling scream coming. letting it out, she closed her eyes at the wailing sounds of siren getting closer. As darkness surrounded her, William's and Sues smiling face dancing before her eyes mocking her.
Giving into the darkness of bitter, cold biting pain, she felt gentle warm hands that were holding her, place her wounded body upon a stretcher.
those hands caused a warming to grow in her heart.
Geneva never had felt like this before.
opening her eyes for one last time she looked at that person.
a handsome face with the bluest eyes met hers.
she felt the pain die away, only he existed.
trying to smile but failing, she sighed.
With tears mixing in blood, her last thought was "at least this man cares for me."
