Love Is Like A Dragon

Wings spread out to glide

A beautiful creature with ruby red eyes

Razor-like teeth, but soft, scaly skin

Love's fragile heartbeat can finally begin

A fire is burning quite strong

The flicker of the flames almost seems wrong

Flying up to the Heaven's and back

These qualities is what love seems to lack

Whether it's me, or somebody else

Love just seems to hold out in Hell

Nobody notices love's fragile mask

Love has cracked, and love cannot last

Love; it's merely a legend

Love; it's just like the dragons

Love; wanted to live forever

But, long ago, ended it's venture

Ended it's flight

Eggs have hatched; can you hear those new loves cry?

So innocent, unlike those whose love has died

Take us both away, wings spread as everything decays

The dragon's heart is hurt, and the end

Of love is all I can assert

Whether it's me, or somebody else

Love just seems to hold out in Hell

Nobody notices love's fragile mask

Love has cracked, and love cannot last

Love; it's merely a legend

Love; it's just like the dragons

Love; wanted to live forever

But, long ago, ended it's venture

Ended it's flight

Oh, dearest creature

You are love's primary feature

A form of love unlike any other

Hearts are turning on one another

Love is like a dragon...

Love; it's merely a legend

Love; it's just like the dragons

Love; wanted to live forever

But, long ago, ended it's venture

Ended it's flight

Maybe one day the rest

Can see true love

AUTHOR'S NOTES

I decided to re-format with the little (~) symbol. It seems to make is look better. I hate FictionPress' derpyness.

But, here's another pride and joy of mine. I really liked the idea of dragons (and I still do), so I decided to incorporate them into a song.

Basically, what I'm saying is this: Love is a legend. There are a thousand stories out there talking about love from all over the world. But, just like the dragons, it is not something that can really be called "real". It's a dark, sad song, but I feel like it also gives hope somehow, with the line about the eggs hatching.

Please, guys, I like reviews. I don't even mind if you're anonymous. I really like hearing what you guys think. Constructive criticism is always welcome, too!

Also, I have a few more songs you can expect whenever I get around to writing them.

UPGRADE (This has to be re-written, as it was one of the first songs I ever wrote.)

Broken Serenade (Named after my lovely pen name.)
