Levi smirked as the young teen girl in front of him scanned him so obviously with her eyes. Like every proper fighter, she was trying to assess her opponent. But did she have to do it in such a manner?
Perhaps I'll get to have my cake and eat it too, Levi thought. While his opponent had a good stance, she had little to no muscle and thus it would be physically impossible for her to be able to take him down. She thought she was safe waiting for him to take the first charge, eh? Time to bring the party to her, Levi thought.
Silently, Levi took his first strike at her by simply swooshing her arms off to the side with his left arm and pushing her down to the ground with his right arm. The two collapsed into a floor struggle. Cecelia kicked fairly hard and was able to get him off of her for just a second. Yet, Levi's death grip around her arms was unbreakable.
Alex and Nett instantly charged at one another. Because Nett blinked a lot, he misjudged where to block Alex's attack and took a hit. Painfully, Nett unleashed his full fury all in one kick, but ended up hyperextending the leg. Alex heard Nett's knee bone crack which made both of them want to vomit. With Nett left on the floor, Alex balled up his fists, punched his opponent lightly in the stomach, and waited for Nett to throw in the towel.
Cecelia took another swing of the foot, but this time, she didn't make any real contact. Cecelia used her flexibility of the abdomen to wriggle her body into a more comfortable position. Eventually she pulled her hands away quickly, causing both of Levi's hands to punch the hard ground. He grunted in pain while she kicked him in the abdomen. Now that she was on top of him, all she had to do now was get him to tap out or say "uncle". The probability of that happening was decreased to zero as Levi made a swift recovery. He bumped his head into hers, purposely, to stupefy her. Then, as planned, he took her into a chokehold from which she could not break loose. She waved her white flag of surrender in the form of three taps on the floor.
Nett probably thought he was being a "hero" when he jumped up in a flash, revealing that he was not as hurt—or as weak—as he seemed. That ugly broad smile was a little over the top. Nett fought his all, but he was no match for the boy who was two years his senior and all the more a better fighter. Nett made a strange noise that was somewhere in between a quiver and a grunt as a steamy-faced Alex shoved him to the ground and took the victory in a whirlwind of pride.
"Excellent job, boys." Mr. Dayo clapped. "Now…"
"I know, I know," Alex mouthed smugly as he was still trying to catch his breath, "You're gonna have the winners fight each other, right?"
Mr. Dayo smirked. In a way, he admired the attitude of this boy but not when it was directed at him. The sensei knew exactly how to prove his superiority to the kid. "Before the day is over, you will call me Senpai. And I will have earned that title."
Alex shrugged.
Levi chortled a little under his breath.
"Cecelia, Nett, go and sit by Bree over there." Mr. Dayo directed. The students obeyed. "Allright Alex and Levi, play nice. Or else I may have to shoot you."
The boys rolled their eyes.
"GO!"
In this match the boys both looked equally skilled. "Are you farsighted or nearsighted?" Levi wondered out loud. "Alex?"
The boys circled each other like lions waiting for the precise second to attack.
"Uh, isn't it obvious? I don't have glasses because I don't need them. Unlike you."
"Hilarious." Levi said drolly. "It was just a question."
"Less talking, more punching." Alex took the first charge and hit Levi right in the nose.
This triggered a nosebleed, as Levi was prone to them. He backed away, blinking in short spurts. Nothing was broken but there would definitely be a horrendous bruise leftover after the scab had healed. Silently, Levi nodded to the Sensei signaling that he had tapped out. Levi took a stroll on over to the bathroom.
"Guess I win by default, huh?" Alex announced casually.
"With that attitude, you'll always be a loser." Mr. Dayo stated. "Now boy, now you fight me." The Sensei took a clever stance.
"Uh, no. No way, you're probably like a black belt or something…"
"No "or something". Black belt is black belt."
"…Okay…"
"If you think you're so tough, come at me with your best stance."
"I think I'd rather not…"
"Smart move. But why start now."
Alex had to give him credit for that, though. "Allright." He struck a pose. "Let's see how this ends."
Mr. Dayo took a huff and easily blocked Alex's charge. Yes the boy was strong, but he had very little full-fledged fighting experiences. Alex talked a big game yet his flexibility was poor. If he just had a little more creativity, then he might have gotten further in this fight. He didn't extend his arms out as far as he should have. He remained encased in his own little comfort box, so to speak. Mr. Dayo blocked his every attack.
The Sensei even through Alex onto the ground at one point. Impressively, Alex kept coming back no matter how hard he was kicked or how far he was thrown. But persistence no matter how infinite, was no matter for a serious karate master. In the end, the sensei defeated Alex with sheer strength, speed, agility, and experience.
After Alex tapped out, he had a migraine. The Sensei extended his hand and helped the boy to his feet. "Well," Alex breathed heavily, "You have revived my asthma, thank you."
Mr. Dayo smiled slightly.
Levi walked out of the bathroom with a white towel over his nose and mouth. "I had a feeling you were a bit short-sighted." Levi commented to Alex.
Alex gave him that "you're-speaking-idiot" look.
"Only a fool would want to fight the sensei." Levi sat down in between Bree and Cecelia.
"Come on! You baby! You got out on a bloody nose!"
"I didn't get out, I chose to go out. I could have kicked your butt if I wanted to."
Alex groaned. "Spare me."
"Enough," Sensei said, "As much as I enjoy the talent for word games, it's time to grow up. Both of you."
Comment please :D
