There she lay, my daughter, quiet in my arms. "It's for the best" I say, placing the knife to her throat. Rivers of red cascade. I know what they will say. 'Monster', 'mentally ill', 'dangerous'. Not true. I raise the knife. "It's for the best" I sob as I collapse.
