Water flooded in. I screamed. Unheard. I'm one of those already dead, I'm never heard. She screamed, gargling, choking, clutching at her teddy. Sinking. Drowning. Dying. Nothing I could do. In her final moments her eyes met mine. She knew she was safe, as her spirit slipped into my world.
