Hi there. Okay now that the some new additions have been added let's get back to how things were. Also this episode is my original episode 1 and 2 together. So you will get to see her duel with Roger, and after this is another thing I never added in. Decode9 Over and Out.

Earlier in the day a few days after the trash can incident "I cannot believe you Max! Why would you defile the school walls!" The school director said behind a closed door yelling at Max, but while that was going on Titan was on the floor scooting by.

He entered another room, and put a piece of paper in a giant bag "I hope this works out." He muttered with a smile and snuck out.

Meanwhile at Volt's house he was getting prepared for school "Hey…Where is my spray paint and my hand buzzer?" Volt asked himself looking around the room "Volt! Your friends are here!" his mom yelled and Volt sighed and ran down.

EPISODE 5-A New Experience

It has been a couple of days since Volt had lost Trish's deck, and now they were walking down the street towards school. It was her and the group. Including Max and Titan who came out of early detention to meet up with them.

"Come on Trish…It's not that bad." Volt said trying to cheer her up, and also hoping that she would not dump him into a trash can again "Yeah…Guess it can't be helped. " Trish sighed and Max got in front of her "Hey. You should try to cheer up a bit. Never know what could happen." He said and Titan nodded

"Yeah, and besides it's not your fault." Nano added and gave Volt a glare that only there cousin Mizuki Kitsune could pull off and Volt bolted off towards the school. The other started laughing and ran too caught up to him. It didn't take long and as soon as they got there the bell rang for classes to begin.

The 5 friends said their goodbyes and Trish and Titan headed for first period. Trish could not pay attention at all. She was wondering what had happened to her deck ("If Roger doesn't have it…Then who does?") She wondered. A couple seats down from her Titan was thinking of something else.

("I hope that idea pays off. She would really love that new deck.") Titan thought. What he was talking about was something special. In Armor dueling there is a total of 8 elements, but recently Lazarus Sora had made a new set of cards with a brand new element: Data.

For this a special event was being held, and the winner was determined at random. It was basically a draw lottery. First a the city would be chosen for where the deck would go to, and then the best academy of that city would draw a name from a hat containing all the students names that entered their name would be picked from.

Which the school director was doing right now, but it was from a bag "Sheesh. This is such a burden." He said. His is a chubby man in his early 40's. He is really short, and I mean short enough he has to be on a stool in order to reach into the bag to grab the name. He wears a plaid green suit and is bald.

"Let's see…I think I got one…" He started to pull it out, but then the bag gave him a small shock and he dropped the name a screamed "Okay…let's try this again." He said reluctantly putting his hand back into the bag. He slowly pulled out the name and looked it over "Hmm…Nicolette Trishana Trace?...That is rather unexpected." He said scratching his head.

He put the paper down on his desk and started to bandage up his shocked hand "Stupid bag. Hard to believe though Delta got chose to receive the deck." He said and chuckled.

It is now lunch "I really hate how this day is going." Trish said as she was drying her hair. During last period Volt had 'accidently' dropped a pail of ice cold water on Trish causing Trish to 'accidently' leg sweep Volt and make him fall down flat on his face. So she was wet and cold, and Volt was sore all over.

"You could have done something other than leg sweep me." Volt said as he rubbed the patch on his head "Would you have preferred a black eye?" Trish asked smoothly and Volt nodded no "Good. Then you understand." She said and began eating again.

The TV Intercom flickered on and the school director appeared "Is this thing on?" He asked and tapped the screen causing all the students to laugh.

Max and Titan looked at each other "Do you think it will work?" Max whispered "Hope so. Otherwise we did this for nothing." Titan replied

"Ahem. Right. Now all you know that the Data deck was transferred here this morning." He said "No duh." Volt said with a smirk and Titian gave him a slap on the head "This morning I finally pulled the name of the student who will receive the deck." He continued. Volt looked like he was about to make another smart comment so Max slapped him again.

("To bad it won't be me. I was too late to enter.") Trish thought as she sighed "That student is…" The Director started then grabbed the piece of paper "Ecart Anahsirt Ettelocin." He said. There was a pound on his door "Your reading it backward Director." His assistant yelled and everyone started laughing again "Oh…Right." He said and looked at it again.

"Right. The student that is receiving the deck is…Nicolette Trishana Trace." He said and Trish's jaw was open and twitching "She will be dueling Roger. That way everyone will get a chance to see what this deck can do." The Director said "Will Nicolette please come to my office in advance? That is all." He said then the screen flicked off.

Nicolette had already left the lunch room, but was still in shock. How did she end up with getting a new deck? ("Could it have been?") She thought and remembered Titan and Max's promise to get her another deck since Volt had wagered and lost her deck. She gave a light smile "Those big idiots." She laughed as she came to the Directors office.

She went in and the director was already waiting for her with a stack of cards in his hand "Here you go Miss Trace." He said and handed her the deck. She looked at it and was in awe "So…I guess I have to go to the duel grounds?" She asked and the director nodded. She then headed out of the office and stopped a moment. She took out her red deck holder and looked at the new deck. She did not know how to use it, but she has the feeling she will win.

She spotted a certain card that caught her interest. It was a women in a white medieval dress with red eyes "Divine Natasha…This is a Soul Monster." She said in awe looking at it. A Soul Monster is a special card. Summoning it required the use of a monster with a 'Soul' equip spell and the spell 'Soul Surge'. Nicole had only seen them, but never actually had one herself.

"How did I even end up with this deck?" She asked herself and then remembered Titan and Max's promise. If this was a way of keeping that promise then they have done it "Those guys…I'm gonna have to thank them later." She said with a smile.

She continued to look through and read each card to understand their effects and trying to figure out how to combo them "Man this is confusing." She muttered

She walked out of the office and headed towards the school entrance. That is where all duels are held. Everyone was in the stands on both sides of the school entrance as she made her approach. Trish looked off to the side and spotted a kid she had never seen before.

He looked around Max's and Titan's age. He had shoulder length purple hair, intense dark blue eyes. He had on a grey t-shirt, a black jacket, and similar slacks. The only thing that was a light color was his shoes which were pure white ("Must be a new kid…but wonder why he isn't wearing his uniform?")Trish thought, and then remembered she doesn't exactly follow school rules either when it comes to the uniform…well her and one other.

As she came forward she saw her opponent "Glad you could make it Nicolette." He said to Trish and she rolled her eyes "Wouldn't miss it Roger." She responded towards Roger.

Both took out their deck holders and strapped them to their arms and inserted their deck "Duel!" both shouted as their HB appeared "Sorry, but I will be taking the first move." Roger said as he drew his sixth card. In hand he had: Barrier Golem, Dark Golem, Volcano Golem, Golems Pact, Golems Revenge, One-Two Punch

"I start by summoning Barrier Golem on the defense." Roger declared and a LV1 small giant with a shield around it appeared holding out its hands. It has 1200ATK 2000DEF "Then I will set 2 cards and end my turn." He finished.

("Okay Nicolette. Stay calm. You can do this.") She thought to herself "I-I draw!" Nicole declared and looked at her hand which consisted of Warrior Kai, Pure Soul, DATS Alpha, Soul Surge, Firewall, Aura Priestess.

"Okay. I guess I will start by summoning Warrior Kai." Nicole said as a LV2 man in orange armor wielding a sword appeared with 1700ATK 1700DEF. As it was played Kai glowed a bright red and Nicole looked at the card a moment "Oh yeah. It has a effect." She replied remembering from her quick glance through the deck.

"I reveal a card with 'Soul' in its name. Then I think I can summon a LV1 or 2 Data attribute monster in my hand." She said clueless as a LV1 red robot with a tank like bottom appeared with blaster like arms and 500ATK 0DEF.

"Okay. This monster is called DATS Alpha, and it's effect is…I can reduce its attack to zip and give it to another monster. Then during the end step it is added back double, but when it's attack becomes 2000 its destroyed." Nicole said reading the card.

"Interesting. I see these cards have rather unique effects." Roger said rubbing his chin "I will use its effect and add the attack to Kai." Nicole declared. Alpha broke down as Kai's armor took on a red tint and attack increased to 2200.

"Kai attack Barrier Golem." Nicole declared and Kai charged forward and penetrated the shield Barrier Golem had up. As it was destroyed a Counter card showing a giant made of ice attacking a player "I activate the counter card Golems Revenge." Roger stated

"Golems Revenge? What does that do?" Nano asked turning to Titan "Hmm…If I recall from a duel I had with him it deals damage to a opponent equal to a 'Golem' monsters attack. However he can only activate it when a 'Golem' is destroyed by battle." Titan replied "So in other words…Nicole's HB is about to take a hit." Volt said.

A giant blue barrier came out of the card and hit Nicole reducing her to 48HB and throwing her back, "Ow…" Nicole pouted and got up "Okay. I guess I will end my turn with a face-down." Nicole said as DATS Alpha rebooted and its attack rose to 1000.

Roger drew and it was Giants Armor "Tch. I summon Volcano Golem." As Roger said this a LV2 giant made of black stone and dripping lava with 1800ATK 1000DEF

"Then I activate the Counter Card Golems Pact." Roger continued as a card showing several 'Golem' monsters together inside a damp dark cave.

"Umm…This is bad." Nicole guessed "I am now allowed to special summon a monster in my discard pile that is a level lower than the highest monster I control." He explained and Barrier Golem appeared in its offensive position.

"Doesn't look like he has a LV3. That's good." Volt said remembering his duel with Roger "Volcano Golem attacks your Warrior Kai." Roger declared and it threw a ball of lava at Kai who melted and Nicole's HB lowered to 47 "Well that was one HOT attack" Nicole replied "That's my turn." Roger said signaling to Nicole.

Nicole drew and it was another DATS Alpha "I summon another DATS Alpha on the defense and swap my other Alpha to defense as well." Nicole declared as a dark blue Alpha showed up both projected a green barrier in front of it.

Nicole sighed "That's my turn." She said "WHAT!" Volt screamed "Calm down Volt. She will last this turn…I hope." Nano said trying to reassure Volt. Roger drew and it was Steel Golem "It has been a nice duel Nicole, but I will have to end this. I special summon my Steel Golem since I control a LV1 and 2 'Golem' monster." Roger declared as a LV3 giant made of amber steel with 2100ATK 0DEF appeared in front of him

"Oh no. I remember this." Nano said recalling the duel Volt had a few days ago "Since I control a LV1, 2, and 3 'Golem' I special summon to the field Dark Golem." Roger said calmly as a LV4 giant made of thunder clouds with lighting striking several parts of the field. It has 2500ATK 0DEF

"Since I control 3 other 'Golem monsters Volcano Golem becomes a pierce damager." He explained "Shoot. That means even if she has monsters in defense she will take the difference as damage." Volt exclaimed, but Max looked at Nicole's field eyeing the face down.

"This duel is far from over Volt. Just watch." Max finally said "Volcano Golem attacks your first DATS Alpha!" Roger declared. The flaming giant threw a ball of white lava at DATS Alpha causing a explosion, but when it cleared Nicole's HB was still at 47, but a counter card showing a wall or red data protecting a player from a monster attack.

"Phew. Good thing I activated Firewall." Nicole stated "What does Firewall do?" Roger asked and Nicole looked at the card "Since I control Data attribute monsters any damage I take is negated. So only direct damage will hurt me." She explained giving herself a sigh of relief

"Fine then Barrier Golem attacks your other Alpha." Roger declared and the small giant attacked Alpha shattering it "Finally Steel and Dark will go direct!" Roger said and both charged forward hitting Nicole reducing her to 1HB and threw her to the ground making her skid across the pavement.

"That didn't hurt…much." Nicole replied getting up. All she had was some skid marks "That's my turn." Roger said with arms crossed. Nicole went to draw ("This is it. I need the right card to win this duel. Come on deck.") she thought "Okay Roger…Lets pick up the pace!" Nicole shouted drawing and looked at the card. For a moment her eyes turned Sky Green.

("This is…") she thought looking at it. There was a moment of long silence as she looked at her card "Roger…I will not quit. Let me show you my determination!" Nicole said as a young women wearing a white medieval dress and had a veil covering her eyes. She is LV3 with 2000ATK 1900DEF "This is one of my greatest monsters. Aura Priestess." She said

"Okay, but that is not going to help." Roger implied "Oh yeah? Then how about I activate this?" Nicole said revealing Pure Soul. A silver orb circled around Aura Priestess and Nicole grabbed another card in her hand "I activate Soul Surge." Nicole said smiling as the silver orb grew and expanded taking in Aura Priestess.

"A Soul Monster!" Roger gasped in surprise "When a soul reaches its full potential it brings forth a new evolution! Rise and fight Divine Natasha." Nicole declared as the orb shattered revealing a blonde women with red eyes in a white medieval dress similar to that of Aura Priestess floated to the ground wielding a staff. She is LV5 with 2200ATK 2000DEF

"Wow." Nano said with wide eyes. Volt's mouth was hanging open, Titan had a small smirk on his face, and Max had a very visible smile. Nicole herself had a cocky grin "What you think?" she asks Roger as she grabbed another card.

"It's nice, but too bad you wasted your normal summon." Roger said "Actually…Aura Priestess was a special summon. When you destroy two LV1 monsters on your turn I can special summon it." She explained and summoned the other card. It was a LV1 grey armor with a gold infinity symbol on the breast plate.

"Now this is Exceed Armor. I think you know what that means." She said with a grin as both the monsters and her deck holder glowed a bright red color "Let's do this! Soul Synthesis!" She declared as there was a flash of silver and she was encased in a silver, red, and black orb.

When the orb cleared she was wearing a mostly black armor with a helmet. There was red highlight along parts of the armor and a gold infinity on the breast plate and on a single part of the helmet. Part of her red hair stuck out of the helmet. It is LV5 with 2500ATK 2000DEF. She pulled a beam saber handle from her side and the beam that came out was a deep purple.

"Nice. Time to give this armor a test drive." She said and got into a stance to attack. As she did ghostly images of Warrior Kai, Both DATS Alpha, Aura Priestess, Divine Natasha, and Exceed Armor and her ATK rose to 4200 "Hmm...? Well that's a surprise. My ATK goes up to by 300 per data attribute monster in the discard pile." She looked at the rest of the card and grinned.

"I attack your Barrier Golem! Infinite Slash" She ran extremely fast and dashed through Barrier Golem reducing Roger to 30HB. Nicole then jumped into the air coming at Volcano Golem "When I have this armor on I can attack twice, and when I attack a monster of the same attribute as my last attack you take double the damage! Omega Slash!" She yelled and came down on Volcano Golem who exploded and Roger HB reduced to 0.

There was a cheer and Nicolette pumped her fist up in the air "Yes! I did it!" Nicole shouted as the deck holder disengaged. She looked down at the deck holder and picked a card out of the deck. It was Divine Natasha ("This…I have a feeling is the start of a brand new adventure.") She thought looking at it

Roger got up from the last attack "Wow Nicole. I have to say that I'm impressed." He said and she blushed a bit causing Max and Volt to blush involuntarily and glare at Roger "Well. This is just a start. I am only gonna get better." She said and put her hand out and Roger took and they shook.

In the stands the mystery boy had finished watching "So…She seems like she might be perfect for my tournament" He said and grinned. Somewhere else in town another person had been watching. This person was in a dark room so it was hard to tell if it was a he or she. The person saw Trish's eyes change for a moment "So your powers are finally awakening." A girls voice said and watched as Trish's rank rose from -50 to -32.

Nicole: I am actually starting to like this deck.

?: Hope you won't be getting use to it because I am going to take it!

Nano: Who are you?

Volt: And why do you want Nicole's deck?

?: Sorry, but I must pay back the collector at all costs! So get ready to lose Nicole!

Max: Not this time. I will be dueling for her.

Titan: Are you sure about this Max?

Max: Yes. I won't let it happen to another friend ever again.
