The weeping widow
Author:
Lady Goth PM
This is a short poem I wrote, it is an emotional poem that really touched my heart and had me in tears for the people in it. It isn't angry like previous poems that I have written and posted on here. Back then I was an angry youth, but a lot has changed since then. This poem is as I stated earlier emotional it will make you cry it did me my heart still hurts from it.

The weeping widow

Forever bound to the emotions of her past

The weeping widow once a beautiful maiden

Once my friend, now she is another passing stranger

A beautiful face in the crowds of many

Her tears she cries of loss, pain and despair

Me a viewer that can't sooth her tears

The weeping widow in her dress of rags

Her ghostly face a show of many years of sadness

Her beauty slowly fading due to wrinkles and worries

The weeping widow once a face of elegance, now a face no different than those around her.

Her hair once vibrate now at loss of its shine

Her full pouty lips now wear an eternal frown

Her skin white as a corpse

As I stand with her

I wonder what if I could have done something

Those thoughts make a mockery at my consciousness

Anyone can help another if they do so choose

Am I partly to blame for the end of this friendship

Silent tears fall from her eyes as I walk away.
