Unlike the first two, this poem is not a happy read. Simply put, it asks if you will give up when life is not all rosy.

I Dare⦠To Fallow
Dreams gone never ending
Tired 'n sick of pretending,
Death and hate can co-exist
With love without remiss
Do you still dare to follow?
Darkness pain never ending
Warning bells ceased ringing,
Collapsing walls of safety
'round the town of apathy
Do you still dare to follow?
Heart wrenching crying
Whole world is dying,
Tears trying to flow
But only dust floats below
Do you still dare to follow?
Misery compounding
Hope and faith are drowning
No light left
Mercy is deaf
Do you still dare to follow?
Take one step
Just keep walking
People of God
Never stopping
Do you still dare to follow?
Author Note: In the last stanza, I mean for the words "People of God/Never stopping" not to be cold but to be a call to fellow Christians not to give up during the hard times of life. Also, I wrote this after coming "under attack" by some so-called fellow Christians while going through a rough patch in life, hence the dark tone.
