I stood there in a stupor
Trying to recall forgotten memories
The sun casts golden beams upon green grass
Smells send me spinning to nostalgia
Autumn is here, sending me away
Taking me to places I used to know
When times were simpler, care free
My mind returns there
Refuses to come back here
Leaving me lonely all the time
Remembering what used to be
I try to stray from such thoughts
Yet I continue to dwell
I miss it all, everyone involved
But here I sit, and wish to return
