away from home

It may not be much
because I'm a silly o girl,
but it's enough
to get me through the day,
passing the time

Would you like a cup of juice?
how about a piece of bread?
I will take you somewhere else
if you would like me to instead

There's a bus we may take
but I don't like it that much,
we could walk
since that is a common
preferred means of transportation

The weather is decently cold
and the grass is stained with brown,
but I like it,
I like their color,
since there isn't much of it here

I'm alone most of the time
so I'm glad you're visiting,
your words bring me out of the clutter
into the sunshine outside my dark room

I don't have that many friends
and I honestly didn't expect that I would,
but the memories of the olden days
have me thinking always about you
