This poem was inspired by the song How Do You Love Someone? I was trying to convey an issue that I've been struggling with in which I have been having difficultly feeling well, anything, but especially happiness and I have never experienced love. So yeah... I didn't really get that across in this one but I'll keep working on it :)

H-A-P-P-Y
Spells a simple word
That every child knows
And experiences as they grow
S-A-D
Is even simpler
And is more common
A word well known
That eats away at the other
Until there is nothing left
But a dull ache
And a stale want
L-O-V-E
Is somewhere in between
And has many forms
But it is also dampened by the previous
To leave nothing but a thick wall
And a mild curiosity
F-E-A-R
The driving force
That causes all three
Both the seeking and the rejecting
And joins with S-A-D
To stay with blind trust
And crushing defeat
