THE PARASITE
Some call it greed, others ambition, I call it torture,
To not feel joy when one's luck's no worse than any other's,
To know one's fortune yet long forget the taste of happiness.
Running in a race against the light that guides,
Knowing that one won't win but still run blindly after.
It is a torture of the soul, determination and the spirit.
It is no sickness but a parasite that eats away my flesh.
