Edgar Allen Poe
So dark, a little twisted
But in his works he could show
What the darker side insisted
As the Raven came down whom you asked of Lenore
And the only thing it had said was "Nevermore"
Feels as though I'm Obsessed, spilling her blood so red and so pure
As I come to think that we loved them for sure
Of your tale Annabel Lee
Such a beautiful woman inspired such glee
Much like how another has done to me
And still we agree that they were taken from us, almost like a divine decree
My heart writes as a victim of rape and pillage
So cynical, dark, and yes even twisted
Showing as well what the dark side insisted
Writing its best in Allan Poe's image
