I was wearing a dismally gray dress
You had on a red tie
I had flowers in my hair
You had feathers down your back
It was two minutes until a quarter to nine
I wished you'd had a pocket watch
There's something so romantic about a pocket watch
Instead I suppose the wristwatch did just fine
It wasn't raining because you don't like to get your hair wet
I suppose the wind was a worthy substitute
Even if you didn't manage to necessarily blow me away
