On the Mind and Life: An Outlet
Author:
Syria of the Silver Stars PM
I've always sucked at keeping diaries but I really need an outlet for all the thoughts that are rolling around in my head. If you don't want to read don't, if you do, do. I would really appreciate comments as long as they are not hurtful. Thank you.

I'm surrounded by a wall

That blocks out the sun

But keeps out the harsh wind

I hate it

But its safety

It's called introversy

No one cares

But everyone stares

I'm afraid of eyes

But hoping someone pries

Lonely

Forgotten

Content

It's called introversy

I'm an observer

Who longs to take part

Talented

Vain

Unwanted

Unneeded

I'm hopeful

Yet so undeserving

It's called introversy

To say hello

Is never going to happen

But I can't think like that

They don't want to hear me

But they'll think I'm rude

They don't care

Yes they do

Then say hello

But I can't

Conflicted

Hypocritical

Unworthy

Don't forget your cognitive therapy

I'm pathetic

It's called introversy

I want to help

But I'll sound bossy

But I'm smart

Don't sound so smug

Share your opinion

But what if I'm wrong?

No one will care

But I'll lose my reputation

To what are you referring too?

Unknown

Unneeded

I'm hiding

Crying in silence

It's called introversy

You have a friend

So share

But they won't care

Then what are friends for?

I'll listen to them

But they won't want to listen to me

Don't get mad, don't get angry

Be false, be cheery

But what if they go away?

Then it's my fault

They didn't like little

Conflicted

Doubting

Hollow

Introverted

Pathetic

Terrified

Old me

I'm surrounded by a wall

That blocks out the sun

But keeps out the harsh wind

I want to bask in the sunlight

But I'm terrified

It's against my nature

It would burn me away

So I hide behind my wall

And even if I tried to go outside

I'd have to open the lock

And though I built it myself

I seem to have forgotten

To make a key
