"Unnamed Sonnet" Rosey Mulvey
Shall I compare a piece of poetry
To the wind as it blows through the air
Bringing alive a scene with conflict and imagery
Dancing through one's brain and ears
Flowing like a river through the woods
Dripping down in a wronged woman's tears
Death, Sadness, Love, and Loss
Creating, Destroying, Death, and Life
This is the song, my ultimate cost
Give me the song, the life of the world
Said, not sung, 'round the fire at night
Give love on the paper, from you to your girl
Then the end comes, leaving us alone
Emotion known throughout the globe
