The Wandering Path

The path I take
It splits ahead
As it has behind

On the road I choose
I will stay
Always moving forward

Long as I keep on walking

Though I look back
I do not turn
I do not stop
And if I fall
As I often do
Still my road does not end

Long as I keep on walking

At times this path is lonesome
Leading through the barren land
And winding through the dark
But even when the path is hard
It will get better soon
As it has before

Long as I keep on walking

At times this path seems crowded
As others walk nearby
And we compare our paths
But even the closest paths
Eventually diverge
I will find more

Long as I keep on walking

I know this path will end someday
