Do you remember your old toys?
That teddy bear you held tight?
A friend made for girls and boys,
Who kept you safe at night?
Your youth ticked away with the clock,
Then you grew up one day
Dusty shelves, attic doors that lock,
You threw your toys away.
The thought that you would never think,
Sitting alone and helpless they'd wait
Toys all vanish in a blink
To face a tragic fate.
Burnt, butchered, torn apart,
Neglected, buried and left to rot.
In the of your mind or last chamber of your heart
That special friend,
