Hey guys! If I don't know you and you're reading this, well, I don't care. This is really more for my 3 best friends and some other people.

Melissa, April, and Rissa, this is for you. I've written a story with fake facts, but it's mainly about how our friendship grew. It's action-packed and I think you'll love it.

Prologue

Jordan's POV

We were running. Rissa was limping along because of her injured leg. We had run into some armed men. I think you can tell what happened next.

Melissa was in front, leading the way out of the collapsing building. Fire, bombs, and smoke filled everywhere. It made it very impossible to see clearly.

"This way!" Lissa turned left but we came to a dead end. It was the exit, but this side had been blown off. We were on the top floor and the structure had to be about 20 stories high. "This can't be the end!" Lissa screamed out in anger. April was reviewing the blueprint of the building for another escape route. "There's another one on the other side of the building. We can get there through the air shafts!"

We followed her and found the air shafts and climbed through. It was very difficult because of our sizes. We carefully moved through the metal boxes, trying to be as quiet as possible. I heard Rissa pipe up.

"Jay…are we gonna die?" I stared at her face. "I don't know, Rissa. I don't know." I know Lissa overheard our conversation. Her demeanor changed. I became suspicious.

"April, where do we go?" Her voice sounded courageous. And brave. She's always been like that.

"Take a left and we'll drop into the lobby. I don't think anybody's in there." We all nodded and followed Lissa to the front lobby. She slowly opened the vent and stuck her head out. "It's clear." She whispered.

We dropped each other one by one and carefully set Rissa on the ground. The door was right in front of us. We could run free and forget this happened. That is until we heard a ticking sound. I followed the sound to the circulation desk. It turns out it was a bomb for 15 seconds!

"Guys, we gotta go! It's a bomb!" Everything turned into slow motion as the clock ticked down.

We ran as fast as we could. The door seemed to be so much farther away.

The doors slid open and we sprinted out. Rissa was trying to run with her hurting leg.

I ran back to get her and carried her on my back.

"HURRY UP!" I ran as fast as my asthmatic lungs would take me.

The bomb blew and fiery smoke filled the sky. We were pushed into the air because of the force of the explosion. I landed breaking my hand. I winced in pain and cried as I watched the building turn into ash. The sound of my heart beat filled my head. Lissa was yelling my name and she came towards me. "Jay, get up! Come on!" She tugged me along as April got Rissa and followed us.

We walked about seven miles until we took refuge at a hotel. The four of us climbed the stairs on the side of it and broke in cracking a window. We took seat on the ground and relaxed our asses. That's when April started to cry. I watched her cry and the chain started going. The tears end on Lissa as we came into a group hug and sobbed.

"At least we didn't die. But we have nothing now." I announced our bad news to the three. Lissa's face brightened. "There are vending machines you know." Her and April became mischievous and crept out of the hotel room, searching for food. "We'll be back."

I turned and looked at Rissa. "I guess we aren't dying today, Rissa." She grinned at me and pulled me into a hug. I smiled back and embraced her.

Today may have been deadly…

But we had each other. We made it out alive.

I wonder what's gonna happen tomorrow…

Lissa and April bust up in the room with snacks in their arms. They grinned. "How did you get the snacks out? We're broke." Melissa and April glanced at each other. "We kinda had to break into it."

Rissa dropped her jaw and I look at them as if they were stupid.

I sighed. Tonight was gonna me hella long…
