A dark black horse once came up to me,
Midnight stallion of gold,
He bent in front of me on a single knee,
And then to me he told,
My dear, I am forever here for you,
To fill the hole in your heart,
But the darkness of my heart only grew
And the feeling in me was quite tart.
A horse that wished to comfort me,
Hoping to replace what was mine,
That might as well have been a dead tree,
Will never take the place of thine.
The obsidian horse was startled at my cries,
Watching unsurely with big brown sights,
As tears of despair fell from shut tight eyes,
Wishing to turn back on your life's lights.
Pushing away the large, black horse,
Even though he meant well,
Anger through my veins did course,
But why, I could not tell.
Enraged, I stormed away from him,
For you were the only one for me,
With your cocky, loving grin,
And your heart as sweet as a honey sea.
Not even a black gold horse with a silver heart
Could ever replace my love,
Because I loved only you from the start,
You came to me from above.
Because you were, are, and will be forever…
Me love,
My sweet,
My only,
My one,
My dearest,
And mine.
