the coffee beans have permeated the room
scent of caffeine and desperation
i'm still trying
but i think the rope's been cut short
i think it's been lit like the wax-spilling candle in the bedroom
dripping onto a lightless body
do you understand me?
because i don't
please explain
i've given up
i'm lost, can you find me?
among the shambles of this shack
among fear and depravity and pain
among myself?
i am a boy with no fortune
no future
can you see me?
can you tell?
