Hi! I wrote this story long ago when i was in 5TH GRADE! since it was the start of the whole Darkbluepromises17 thing i thought it should be put on read and review and tell me how child me did. I plan to continue if enough people respond or maybe i just do it anyway. lol sorry for weird names by the way.

The sun beat down on my transparent skin showing my normally hidden veins on my left arm. It was the beginning of my summer break the days filled with fake smiles and long speeches are gone. No more awkward hugs, miniskirts, and disgusted glares from the popular girls it's just me now. I could bare my arms not afraid of those looks and the lame nicknames cause no one's here but me. I know I'm white, I'm as white as it gets. In the sun I could blind you and under the florescent lights I could scare the shit out of you with the sight of my dark blue veins running across my body. You would think I'm dead and my eyes look sunken with a dark purple rim which doesn't help but the summer brings light giving me a slight tan and I look normal.

I was sitting on the bench near the park the sound of crying babies and barking dogs ringing in my ears as a sweet melody of life. I do this every summer to remind myself that I am normal and people aren't afraid of me and they never seem to be which is a relief. It gets late the horizon is getting darker and darker, so off to home I go. The streets are alive with the sound of traffic and sirens. My house is normal not too big or small, enough for me and my parents to live in.

"Hello sweetie, have a nice day? Make any friends?", my mother says hopefully with a gleam in her eyes as I enter the house.

"No, not today mom I'll try again tomorrow. I'm going to bed ,night love you!"I yell over my shoulder as I ran up the stairs. I do need to find a friend to have my mother feel like she doesn't have a freak for a daughter .I'm a girly girl but tuff girl at the same time I look cute but the second you cross me I'd make you think twice of ever breathing near me again. The scent of my bed reminds me of clover felids when I rest my head on my pillow. I had a friend before a very good friend that smelled of clovers but he is gone someplace else….far away.

Flashback

"Yumi-chan?"

"What Taiki?"

"Do you think will be friends forever?" , his sudden question startled me of course we would be friends forever why didn't he know that and why is there a hit of uncertainty in his eyes instead of the normal dual confusion and worry.

"You're not telling me something Taiki, what is it you can trust me, right?"

"Of course I trust you but…"

"But?"

"I can't tell just yet but I will someday… wait here!", he ran off into a secret hole in a tree we had found, that we spent most our time in. He came back a shell necklace tied to a letter.

"Here, I made this for you and wrote the letter too.", Taiki said with a huge blush on his face that made him look really cute and a little girly. Taiki has spiky-wavy hair that is really black so it kind of looks blue. Since we are 7 he doesn't have the define features of a boy yet but he loves to eat chocolate and fights anything that would dare to harm me even if it was his own mother which probably isn't smart. I'd follow him anywhere anyway.

Taiki nudges me to bring me out of my thoughts.

"Yumi? "

"Hehe…what Taiki?"

" Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course I would!"He looked at me sadly which made my smile disappear but it was soon replaced with the solo look of determination. He took my hand in his and kissed me on the cheek. I blushed, it was soft and gentle like a swift wind caressing my face.

"You remind me of a girl a lot Taiki…."

"Promise me that you will always be with me forever and will never leave my side for you will always be mine. If you can't find me don't even leave me then you are mine and mine only for as long as our loves true."

"…I promise you Taiki I will always love you."

End of flashback

I found my fingers twisting the shell of my necklace in circles reliving the memories gave me mixed emotions. The letter he gave me turned out to be an apology letter telling that he was leaving this town the day after our meeting at 5:30 in the morning and he wasn't coming back. At the very bottom was his signature and the words P.s. Remember your promise
