Hey guys. This is just a very short descriptive story. Enjoy!

November

She couldn't tell which season was her favorite. They all held special things to her. Right now she was walking through her neighborhood in the middle of November. A rush of cold wind came by making her shiver with both coldness and joy. She pulled out her hands that were in pockets and zipped her jacket further up.

She stopped walking and her eyes glazed over the beautiful scenery of autumn. Glancing up at the sky, she couldn't help but stare. She loved the way the gray, white and purple clouds would converge and swirl together astoundingly across the pink sky. She tore her eyes away from the unending sky and turned to the trees which surrounded the area. She loved the way their once green leaves would change to yellow, red and brown making it look like a decorated Christmas tree – reminding her of the holidays to come. The way the leaves fall gently to her hand never ceased to amaze her. She loved the unique crunchy sound the leaf would make whenever she crumpled it, unlike the ordinary green leaf.

She closed her eyes took a deep breath and sighed at the smell of autumn in the air. She could smell pine, cool ocean breeze, dirt and a very addictive smell that she couldn't identify.

She resumed to walking on the sidewalk. Form a distance she could hear a squirrel squeaking and the chirping of the last remaining birds that are preparing for a long journey to the warm south. She heard some twittering above her causing her to look up. She saw about seven large breathtaking birds in a uniform V-formation in the sky. She sighed unhappily as she looked down. Soon, winter would come and she would miss the feeling of the warm dry earth under her feet. She would lose that to snow and ice. Suddenly, her spirits were lifted. She was a little sad that fall was leaving, but at the same time she was excited for the awaited arrival of winter.

As she turned around the corner that leads to her house, she spotted her brothers raking the leaves that were scattered around the compound. She suddenly got the urge to jump into the completed piles of leaves. She ran as quickly as she could and skidded to a halt when she reached in front of a huge pile of colorful leaves. She hesitated and turned around to once again stare at the scenery stunningly unfolding in front of her. She was looking at, what she believes, the last beautiful look of fall.

She took a breath and dove.
