Gunshots heard in the hall,

Screams echo within the rooms,

Cries for help silenced.

No one knew that day,

That danger may come their way,

When fear filled the place,

Hearts started to race,

As a madman let loose in the school.

Many tears were shed,

The gunman's blood lust fed,

Many parents despaired,

As their children's bodies laid bare,

In the school painted with blood.

Though these strings of fate

Were cut too short,

Memories will last

As long as they remember,

The smiles on their child's face.
