Sitting doing nothing
The minutes slowly
Creeping by. Torments
Those who wish to leave.
Nothing is as it seems,
Yet everything is how
It's suppose to be. Eyes
Roll, tired of this same
Old game.
Why won't it end this
Vicious cycle. The bane
Of my existence. A nothingness
Of something ancient.
The decrepit and old
Make fun of the young
And restless. Knowledge
Hanging from the gallows
In front of children.
Hunger beyond compare,
Why the hell don't they
Care? Eyes falling out
From the sheer boredom
Of it all.
We're about to fall
Into this dance set
Before out times. It's
Such a dastardly crime.
Please do us a favor
And make this very
Kafkaesque nightmare
Go away, so we can play.
