The darkest days were after it
The brightest ones before
But now we're running out of it
Burning to the core
Buildings burn, people hide
My feelings smolder deep inside
My mother screams
A baby cries
Today begins the world's demise
To most it wasn't a surprise
Tomorrow marks a newborn hell
Christians said it was the day Jesus fell
Not a spark left in this void
A world of ashes in careless hands
A harsh fate fell upon the land
How merciless can destiny be?
The Mayans spoke of it in prophecy
Some called it an impossibility
Did they honestly believe that?
Look at us now; we're on the brink of fate's spat
The darkest days were after it
The brightest ones before
But now we're running out of it
Burning to the core
A/N: This is a collab with u/827107/worthwritingfor She's an awesome author and I'm a poet. We sit by each other on the bus, and this was the product. It's about the end of the world, in case you can't tell. Review my friends.
